These are some of the protective coatings stocked in New Zealand, but many more are available and can be specified on request.

MILD TO MODERATE ENVIRONMENTS:

769. DAMP PROOF ALKYD PRIMER.
Apply to damp rusty steel. Can be top coated with acrylics or alkyds.

3700. DIRECT TO METAL, GLOSS ACRYLIC ENAMEL.
Single component, available in a range of colours. Can be applied @ 95% RH, and will cure down to 2 degrees C.
Apply to machinery, handrails, structural steel, masonry and other surfaces.

SIERRA S37 METALMAX. DIRECT TO METAL SEMI-GLOSS POLYURETHANE
Sierra S 37 Metalmax is a direct to metal, anti-corrosion water based Polyurethane, semi-gloss protective coating.

SEVERE ENVIRONMENTS:

HS.9300: FAST DRY EPOXY PRIMER.
One hour recoat time, @ 75 microns DFT (Dry Film Thickness) to abrasive blasted or slightly rusted steel.

9100: HIGH PERFORMANCE, HIGH BUILD, DIRECT TO METAL, GLOSS FINISH, EPOXY.
Apply direct to new steel, concrete floors, swimming pools, machinery or as a maintenance coating. Extends excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance.

9400: HIGH PERFORMANCE, HIGH GLOSS POLYURETHANE TOPCOAT.
Apply as a UV stable topcoat for 9100, to trucks, machinery, structural steel. Long-term gloss retention, the highest level of corrosion protection of all Polyurethanes available. Can also be applied as a gloss topcoat for epoxy floor coatings.

9800: HIGH PERFORMANCE, HIGH BUILD, DIRECT TO METAL, HIGH GLOSS POLYURETHANE MASTIC.
Apply as a UV stable topcoat, over HS9300/9100 epoxy primers, or in mild to moderate corrosion environments, can be applied directly to prepared steel.
At 60% volume solids, this coating can be spray applied @ 125 microns DFT In a single coat. Has good flexibility and extends excellent corrosion protection in severe environments, when applied as a topcoat to these primers.

NOXYDE ANTI-CORROSION DIRECT TO METAL COATING

NOXYDE….NZ’s leading corrosion prevention paint.

NOXYDE is used extensively throughout New Zealand as an anti-corrosion, durable waterproof membrane for existing rusting surfaces. With correct preparation Noxyde can be applied without using a separate primer.

NOXYDE is an easy to apply coating with minimal preparation with waterblasting and power tool cleaning. Proven in New Zealand since 1998.

Rust is a big problem in commercial environments due to the harsh marine environment found in New Zealand. Between the wind, rain, salt air and UV, our metal structures get battered daily. For these instances you need a proven heavy duty coating and NOXYDE is just that. Noxyde can be painted over prepared rust or corroded steel*. Is UV Resistant, extremely robust and applied throughout NZ since 1998.

Noxyde has been applied to the Auckland Skytower to protect the structural steel. The exposed galvanised steel corrodes in Aucklands harsh marine environment as shown in the photo below.
